The International Affairs Sub-Committee of Bangladesh Awami League on Friday hosted an Iftar in the honor of foreign diplomats at a hotel in the capital.
Ambassadors, High Commissioners, Head of Missions from the USA, Japan, Australia, Turkey, Malaysia, Morocco, German, India, China, Switzerland, Russia, European Union attended the iftar, said a media release issued by the committee.
Awami League general secretary and Road Transport and Bridge Minister Obaidul Quader and Broadcasting Minister Hasan Mahmud attended the event as the Chief Guest while Shammi Ahmed, International Affairs Secretary of AL welcomed the guests.
Ministers of state, members of parliament, persons of diplomatic rank from different missions and international organizations, central leaders of Bangladesh Awami League and the members of International Affairs Sub-Committee of Bangladesh Awami League attended the iftar as well.
