“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has repeatedly directed that not a single person should suffer from winter in the country. Awami League was by your side even in the time of floods and droughts and will remain so in future as well”, said State Minister for Information Dr. Murad Hasan, MP.
He added that the distribution of winter clothes will continue till the sufferings of the people are completely eradicated. The government as well as Awami League is always ready to deal with disasters. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is continuously working for the betterment of the people of the country.
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at a winter clothes distribution programme among cold-hit people at Boyra Israel Ahmed High School in Pogaldigha union of Jamalpur’s Sarishabari upazila on Friday morning in collaboration with the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief.
Sarishabari Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shihab Uddin Ahmed presided over the distribution while, Senior Vice President of Upazila Juba League Farid Ahmed conducted it. Among others, Pogaldigha UP Chairman Sams Uddin, President of Mahadan Union Awami League Azmat Ali Master and Freedom Fighter Lutfar Rahman Lulu spoke during the programme
