Bangladesh reported zero death and 216 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours until 8:00am on Friday, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The positivity rate was recorded at 5.87 percent after testing 3,680 samples across the country.
The country reported one death and 243 new Covid cases on the previous day.
The virus has killed 29,411 people and infected 20,33,878 so far, according to the statement.
The recovery count increased to 19,76,973 after another 688 patients were discharged from the dedicated hospitals during the last one day.
From the beginning of the pandemic, 1.45 percent died while 97.20 percent Covid-19 patients were recovered among the infected people, according to the DGHS data.
Among the 29,411 fatalities, 12,938 died in Dhaka division, 5,902 in Chattogram, 2,157 in Rajshahi, 3,735 in Khulna, 993 in Barishal, 1,352 in Sylhet, 1,428 in Rangpur and 906 in Mymensingh divisions.
