‘WE platform works for advancement of women in Bangladesh’

Indian High Commission presents 'Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar' Library to WE

Indian High Commissioner Shri Bikram Kumar Doraiswamy said if the WE platform continues to work for the advancement of women in Bangladesh, then the women of Bangladesh will go a long way. And as we move forward, we are always on the side of WE.

The HIgh Commissioner was addressing as the chief guest at the inaugural function of  the "Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar Library" recently at the WE office, Mohakhali DOHS in the capital.

The Library was set up with the help of Indian High Commission. The Library offers a variety of books on what an entrepreneur needs to look for in order to become a successful entrepreneur, what kind of leadership qualities an entrepreneur needs to have, and strategies for dealing with future challenges after entering the business.

We President "Nasima Akter Nisha" presided over the ceremony.

She said that the Women and e-Commerce Forum WE has set an example for contributing to the e-commerce industry of domestic products. Millions of backward women have come up holding her hand. Indian High Commissioner Vikram Kumar Doraiswamy and WE Global Adviser Soumya Basu are grateful for the establishment of this library.

Also present on the occasion were Dipti Alanghat, Public Diplomacy Officer, High Commission of India, Soumya Basu, Advisor, We Forum, Kabir Shakib, Ariful Hasan Apu, Sheikh Lima, Director, We Forum, Imana Jyoti and Farzana Tanny.

Women and E-Commerce (WE) has always taken exceptional initiatives for the work of women entrepreneurs to keep them always ahead. Similarly, "We Grand Meet Up" was held on Monday 27th December at Bangladesh Film Archive, where Mr. Saumya Basu, the CEO of Silkoak Global Limited and Global Advisor of Women & e-Commerce (WE) conducted two enlightening sessions for our women entrepreneurs, which was attended by 1000 entrepreneurs from all over Bangladesh.
