A 23-year old student of Northern University, identified as Mosammat Nadia, was killed as a passengers' bus of Victor Paribabhan hit her motorbike in Vatara Progati Saoroni area of the Kuril Biswa Road in the capital Sunday, police and hospital sources said.
"Nadia, a fourth-year student of Pharmacy Department, was on board behind her friend's motorbike . . . She died on the spot," Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Vatara Police Station ABM Asaduzzaman told BSS Sunday afternoon.
She succumbed to her injuries on the spot around 1:45 pm while her bike-owner friend remained unhurt, the OC said.
Police, however, seized the killer vehicle but its driver and helper fled the scene safely.
A case was filed with the concerned police station in this connection, Asaduzzaman added.
