US-Bangla Airlines will operate flights from Dhaka to Male 6 days a week from October 31. US-Bangla will operate flights from Dhaka to Male every day of the week except Thursday to facilitate the travel plans of Maldivian expats and tourists during the winter schedule due to increased passenger demand.
From October 31, US-Bangla will depart from Dhaka to the Maldivian capital at 9:00 a.m. every Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday, and at 8:45 am on every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
The US-Bangla flight will depart from Velena International Airport in Male for Dhaka on every Monday, Tuesday and Saturday at 1:20 PM local Maldives time, and at 1:50 PM local time on every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
On November 19, a 164-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft of the private carrier left Dhaka for Male carrying 129 passengers in its first flight on this route.
The Dhaka-Male flight service was launched with three flights a week and currently four flights are operational on this route.
The minimum fare on the Dhaka-Male route, including all taxes and surcharges, has been fixed at Tk 29,508 one-way and Tk 45,545 for return.
