Tigers to face off well prepared Kiwis in T20s

Visiting Kiwis are paying special attention to their practice session as the tigers have crushed Australia in the last T20 series.

New Zealand’s last two visits to Bangladesh were not good enough. As a result, they are trying to change the scenario through their performance.

Bangladesh batting coach Prince said he expects New Zealand to be a tougher challenge than Australia in the upcoming T20 matches.

“I think we can expect New Zealand to analyze and plan well, using the recent Australia series to learn from. They are a street-wise team who would plan meticulously against every batsmen, bowler and pitches. They will use every bit of information to help them,” Prince said.

Prince also said that the Bangladeshi batters after the Australia series had a discussion about tackling any condition. We hope the pitch would be similar against New Zealand as it was against Aussies.

“I am expecting similar conditions against New Zealand. The batsmen from Australia series had a nice discussion on Saturday, sharing with guys like Liton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim who didn’t play in that series,” he added.

“These are experienced guys but they shared what worked and what we like to improve on from the Australia series, taking it into the New Zealand series coming up,” he said.

New Zealand bagged just one win out of the last 11 matches against Tigers in Bangladesh. Kiwis have drawn three Tests in a row, lost seven ODIs in a row. They won only in T20.

Prince thinks that New Zealand would play with proper preparation. Every batsman, bowler may have a different plan.

He also said, “New Zealand must analyze our batsmen and bowlers separately. The same will work with pitch and condition. They are a smart team to use all kinds of information.”

However, it would be fair to call Bangladesh favorites for this contest too.
