The police recovered bodies of a man, his two-month old daughter and wife from a rented house in Panishail’s Sonali Palli area in Gazipur on Tuesday, report agencies.
The deceased were Mosharraf Hossain, 28, his two-month old daughter Mohinee and wife Hosne Ara, 22, from Rangpur, said Akbar Ali Khan, officer-in-charge of Kashimpur police station. Md Kabir Hossain, caretaker of the rented house, said that Mosharraf was taking cannabis inside the room on Monday night. The couple was locked in an altercation over the issue.
Later, in the morning, neighbours of the deceased — through the window— saw the hanging body of Mosharraf while his wife and daughter were lying on the floor. On information a police team went to the spot and broke open the door. OC Akbar Ali Khan said that they found poison in the room. The bodies were sent to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College for post-mortem examinations, he said.
