The highest law and order will be applied after identifying risky markets.

On the first working day after the Eid-ul-Fitr holiday, State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Enamur Rahman made the statement.

To a question from journalists on the first working day after the Eid-ul-Fitr holiday at his office on Monday (April 24), the state minister said, "Fire service and civil defense directorate will survey the risky markets and implement the decisions and recommendations to implement the highest law and power.

"Enamur Rahman said that the capacity and capability of the fire service has increased, "even in the developed world there are losses due to fire." Capacity is increasing in line with developed countries. There is nothing to be disappointed about.

Since the beginning of this year, there have been one fire after another. The recent fire in Bangabazar is the worst in recent memory. A big fire also happened in New Super Market. Not only in Dhaka, fire incidents happened all over the country including Gazipur, Sylhet, Chattogram.

"Urgently taking effective action on contemporary issues related to national security including recent fire accident review" was given in a meeting held under the chairmanship of the Cabinet Secretary on April 17.

In the markets located in City Corporation and municipal areas, under the supervision of the respective market management committee, security measures should be strengthened day and night.

Measures should be taken to keep CC cameras operational in markets where there are no CC cameras and ensure installation of CC cameras in markets where there are no CC cameras.

CCTV camera information should be shared with concerned local administration and law enforcement agencies as necessary.

In those markets where there is insufficient space but a large number of people, measures should be taken to install smoke detectors to prevent fire.

The certification of the concerned authority should be confirmed by verifying whether the electricity and gas and other utility connections in the markets are correct and safe.

Market shops and godowns having chemicals and flammable materials or chemical factories should be shifted to safe places as soon as possible.

Adequate fire extinguishers should be maintained in all markets and adequate water fire hydrants should be installed.

Adequate light and air movement should be ensured in the markets.

In markets where central air conditioning systems or air coolers are in place, necessary measures should be taken to ensure that they are adequate, effective and functional.
