Sony’s digital warranty service in Bangladesh was jointly inaugurated by RMDC Sony South-East Asia President Ji Hoon Bae and Smart Technology (BD) Ltd. Managing Director Mohammad Zahirul Islam. The event organized at the ground floor of Zahir Smart Tower in Agargaon, the capital, was attended by Ricky Lucas, Head of Sony International Bangladesh Branch, Sony-Smart Director Md. It was informed at the event that with the launch of Sony’s digital warranty service, customers will now be able to immediately verify whether the product is genuine or fake when purchasing Sony products from Sony-Smart, and will also be able to register the warranty. Through this digital warranty, buyers will easily get service at authorized Sony service centers. There is no need to keep any separate documents as proof of warranty. It will clearly mention which services are covered by the warranty and which are not, and since it is recorded digitally, proof of ownership (name, address, date of purchase) can be easily presented, which will help in resolving any disputes.
At the event, Smart Technologies (BD) Ltd. Managing Director Mohammad Zahirul Islam said, “Sony-Smart has been working to deliver genuine products and services to the people of the country since the beginning. In line with this, today we have launched the digital warranty registration system. From now on, there is no more possibility of cheating by buying Sony products. However, to get this benefit, Sony lovers must buy Sony products from Sony-Smart.”
At the same time, Sony International Bangladesh Branch Head Ricky Lucas said, “Now, through Sony-Smart, buyers in Bangladesh can safely purchase Sony’s original televisions and other products.
