Sikder Medical initiates patient-friendly services

25% discounts on all medical tests, no doctor consultation fee

The Gulshan branch of the ZH Sikder Women’s Medical College and Hospital has announced a 25 percent discount on all diagnostic tests and free consultation from its physicians.

The hospital authorities made the announcement to mark the National Mourning Day, to be observed on Saturday, said a press release on Thursday.

It said, Founder and Chairman of the Medical College Zainul Haque Sikder, a veteran freedom fighter, instructed the hospital officials to waive the test fees for paying homage to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members, who were assassinated by a group of misguided army officers on the dark night of August 15 in 1975.

The privilege will be available at the Medical’s Gulshan branch located on house no. 5, road no. 104 in the capital’s Gulshan-2 between 8am and 4pm on Saturday, read the press release.

Since commencing operation as Covid-19-dedicated hospital on June 20, the ZH Sikder Women’s Medical College and Hospital is offering 20 percent discount on all coronavirus-related medical treatment for journalists, doctors, nurses, health workers, police personnel, government officials and others working to combat the disease from the front.

The Hospital authorities said the 50-bed hospital has experienced doctors, nurses and state-of-the-art equipment from home and abroad.

In addition to a separate unit for corona sample collection and isolation wards, there are 21 new CCU and ICU beds, PCR labs, ventilators, nebuliser machines, cardiac monitors, portable digital X-ray machines, CT scan, ECG, echo and MRI machines, cabins and modern ward amenities.

Zainul Haque Sikder Women’s Medical College and Hospital is the most reliable and trustworthy institution in the medical sector of the country. The name of the organisation is associated with many of the first in the medical services sector in Bangladesh.

In 1992, Sikder Group established the first women-only medical college in the country to ensure the medical education for girls. The group has to its credit the first-ever heart treatment and the first successful open heart surgery in the country.
