To select the genuine party candidates through the upcoming council of Awami League, General Secretary of Awami League Obaidul Quader has briefed Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who just returned from a trip to Madrid, on various issues including the prevailing enthusiasm and expectations of the party activists and supporters encircling the ensuing party council.
Obaidul Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister briefed Prime Minister about the present situation of the country.
It may be mentioned that infiltrators took advantage of the situation and exploited the party leaders and grabbed key positions in the party and while trying to fulfill their own agenda they tarnished the party’s image.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is trying her best to build the nation by organising the party and getting the people prepared to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
Party insiders strongly demand to elect leadership from the true, dedicated activists who can face any challenge of the present and the future. In the past, there were also allegations that some posts in the committees were offered in exchange of kickbacks. As a result, the honest, experienced and dedicated leaders remained outside the committee.
