Saudis to hire more Bangladeshi workers

Saudi Ambassador in Bangladesh Isha Yousef Al Duhail Al Dulaihan has said that the embassy is currently stamping about 3,000 visas per day amid the Covid-19 pandemic situation. The number will increase in the coming days as his country willhost more migrant workers from Bangladesh, he added. 

The Saudi Ambassador said these at a meeting with a delegation of Bangladesh Association of International Recruiting Agencies (BAIRA)with the embassy in Dhaka on Saturday (June 19).  

Head of Consular Section of the embassySaadAlshammari was also present at the meeting. Former president of BAIRA Benazir Ahmed, MP, former general secretary Shamim Ahmed Chowdhury andformer vice-president of the body and chairman of Greenland Group Mohammad Abdul Hye attended the meeting on behalf of BAIRA.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Association of International Recruiting Agencies (BAIRA) was represented at the meeting by its former body includes president Benazir Ahmed MP, General Secretary Shamim Ahmed Chowdhury and Mohammad Abdul Hye, Chairman of Greenland Group and senior Vice-President of BAIRA. 

The leaders of the immediate past committee of BAIRA represented the delegation as the body has no current committee. Its official activities are ongoing on under the leadership of an administrator, said Office Superintendent of BAIRA Mahfuzur Rahman.

The Saudi Ambassador requested the agencies to submit the updated filesthrough the foreign ministry as per the requirements of the embassy.
