Salma Nasreen ndc, Additional Secretary (PRL) in the Financial Institutions Division has recently joined as an Independent Director of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) limited. Earlier she was one of the Board of Directors in Bangladesh Development Bank Limited (BDBL) for three years.
She acquired MSc in Macro Economics and Planning in Developing Countries in 1996 from the University of Bradford in UK while she was working in Bangladesh Tariff Commission, Dhaka on deputation. She is from BCS Administration Cadre. She also worked as Executive Member of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) for two and half years and Deputy Director of Jatio Protibondhi Unnayan Foundation.
She worked honestly and sincerely in the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Finance several times including different Ministries, Departments and other organizations. She participated various training programs in USA, UK, Japan and many other countries. Her job experience is multi- dimensional.
