Ron Haque Sikder, Director of Sikder Group, has been granted bail in a case filed with Gulshan Police Station.
Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court's judge Asheq Imam issued the bail order on Friday after hearing his bail petition. The court fixed March 10 for the next hearing in the case.
Ron, who arrived in Dhaka on Friday morning from abroad following the death of his father, moved the CMM court seeking bail.
Ron's father Zainul Haque Sikder, Chairman of Sikder Group and National Bank Ltd, passed away on Wednesday at a Dubai hospital where he was undergoing treatment.
Exim Bank authorities filed a case against Ron and his brother Dipu Haque Sikder with Gulshan police station on May 19 last year.
