The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested 103 members of Myanmar-based militant group ARSA from different Rohingya camps in Ukhia and Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar last year.

Sources in the elite force claimed that among the arrested people there were senior commanders of the banned terror outfit ARSA.

The anti-crime bluster raided the hideout of the militant group and seized huge amounts of local and foreign weapons and explosives.

RAB- 15 Lt Col HM Sajjad Hossain disclosed it at a press briefing in Cox's Bazar on Thursday.

RAB organized the press conference after arresting 4 Arsa terrorists including a top commander in the Ukhia Rohingya camp.

In a press conference, Lt Col HM Sajjad Hussain, Commanding Officer of RAB-15 said that the members of this terrorist group of Myanmar are stationed in various hilly areas of the Ukhia Rohingya camp.

At night, they commit various crimes and vandalism in the camp and move to the hilly areas. However, as a result of RAB's operations in recent times, the activities of camp-centered Arsa have decreased a lot, he claimed.

In the briefing, he said that the intelligence team of Cox's Bazar RAB found out that a group of the terrorist group Arkan Rohingya Salvation Army or ARSA of Myanmar’s Rakhine State has built a new hideout in the extended part of Rohingya Camp No. 20 of Ukhia Upazila.

Based on sources from Erie, several teams of RAB raided Block No. 5 of the extended area of Rohingya Camp No. 20 on Wednesday night. During the raid, RAB arrested four ARSA terrorists, including ARSA Bangladesh chief commander and finance wing head Md Karim Ullah Prakash master Kalim Ullah and ARSA chief Ataullah Jununi’s bodyguard Akiz from a house.

Meanwhile, a foreign pistol, a long gun, bullets and explosives were recovered from

their hideout. He said that after the arrest of 4 ARSA terrorists, raids were conducted on
