PRAN-RFL Grouphas got highest national export trophies for outstanding contribution in export segment for FY 2018-19. The group received six trophies, including gold,from the Commerce Ministry for exporting agro processing, plastic goods and light engineering sectors.
This year 71 companies received export trophies of which six companies of PRAN-RFL bagged the trophies.
In 2016-17 and 2017-18, PRAN-RFL Group received five export trophies each. Butthis time the group has broken its own record and get the highest six trophies. Apart from, the Commerce Ministry awarded export trophy to the Group as the highest exporter for the last 18 consecutive years.
The award giving ceremony was held on Tuesday at Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center inPurbachalwhere the commerceministerTipuMunshi attended the program as chief guest.
In agro processing sector, PRAN bags all awards in this category. PRAN Dairy Ltd. PRAN Agro Ltd. and PRAN Foods Ltd. obtained gold, Silver and bronze trophies respectively.Durable Plastic Ltd.and Banga Plastic International Ltd. of RFLGroup got silver and bronze trophies respectively in plastic goods sector whileRangpur Metal Industries Ltd. obtained bronze trophy for light engineering sector.
Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, Chairman and CEO of PRAN-RFL Group received the award on behalf of PRAN Dairy whileUzma Chowdhury, Director (Corporate Finance) at the group and EleashMridha, Managing Director of PRAN Group received the award on behalf of PRAN Agro and PRAN Foods respectively.Therefore, RN Paul, Managing Director of RFL group received the award on behalf of Rangpur Metal and Toukirul Islam, Executive Director of Durable Plastic and Mohammad Kazi Abdul Quiyum, Executive Director of Banga Plastic International received the award on behalf their organizations.
