Ever since this Italian delight, pizza came to Bangladesh, the love for it has grown tremendously. The crispy crust, the toppings and the cheese pull, pizza is that one thing we can't ever get enough. Most of us have a dramatic inclination towards pizzas. Even I am a pizza lover! So, say hello to ‘Street Oven.’ It is a very fresh and new pizza place for budget pizzas.

When you are bored with the conventional pizza joints, Street Oven is indeed the best option not only because of their yum pizzas but also the variety and the variability they have to offer. Street Oven has branches in Dhanmondi, Bashundhara, Baily road and Mirpur DOHS and is quite popular amongst pizza lovers in all four places.

This food joint is churning out some of the best pizzas in town. Visited at their Baily Road branch and I was amazed at the variety of the pizzas we were served to taste. The widespread varieties that we had tasted were extraordinary indeed. The pizzas are served in three sizes – 6’, 9’ and 12’ inches. Let’s go through an insight of what we were served.

Eating at the classic pizzas, Mushroom Chicken (BDT 150/ 270/410) is a delicious treat. Worth the mention is the usage of mozzarella, parmesan and cheddar cheese. It’s carbs upon carbs upon carbs. The crust was all crispy and had heavenly aroma around it. Its savory toppings like sweet corn, capsicum and tomatoes add so much flavor and texture, while the tomato and mushroom adds a creamy base to hold it all together.

BBQ Chicken (BDT 140/250/390) with a topping of spicy barbeque sauce, diced chicken and capsicum all covered with cheese, and baked to bubbly goodness was just drooling. The crust was perfectly thin and the chicken was moist and delicious. A popular among all, Beef Supreme (BDT 390/590) is made of crumbled juicy beef pieces topped with sweet corn and black olive. The crust was incredibly beautiful, light and tender.

Sarda (BDT 170/320/450) highlights the flavour of smoked chicken chilli salami with savoury chicken bits and mozzarella and swiss cheese. The pizza was delicious and the salami was full of essence and it tasted phenomenal. New York Cheeese (BDT 130/240/380) pizza features a chewy crust, sweet and tangy sauce, and plenty of oozing cheese. Topped with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese and Swiss cheese, this pizza is sinfully succulent.

Creamy Melt (BDT 370/570) has the creamy goodness of cheese with smoked chicken and sweet corn. The indulgent cream cheese, on top of melting mozzarella in the base topped with tomatoes and freshly sliced capsicum was an absolute hit. Not only these, Cheesy Pepperoni (BDT 160/280/430) with a blend of mozzarella and Swiss cheese, zesty pepperoni slices and tomato sauce and Americana (BDT 160/290/440) with tomato sauce, chicken sausage, chicken bits and mozzarella cheese are also worth trying.
