Health Adviser Nurjahan Begum has said that panic across the country particularly in Dhaka, was a major reason for the high number of injuries during the earthquake on Friday.
She made the remarks while visiting injured patients at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) around noon.
The adviser said many Dhaka University students were injured after panicking during the tremor.
All hospitals have been instructed to provide proper treatment without any lapses.
