The 52ndAnnual General Meeting of Padma Oil Company Limited held virtually through Digital Platform on Saturday.
Chairman of the Company’s Board of Directors and Senior Secretary, Energy & Mineral Resources Division, Ministry of Power, Energy & Mineral Resources, Md. Mahbub Hossain presided over the meeting. Directors of the Board, Bashudeb Ganguly, Kabirul Ezdani Khan, Quazi Md. Anwarul Hakim, Dr. Mohd. Sher Ali, Kazi Mohammad Mozammel Hoque, Nasiruddin Akhter Rashid, Suzadur Rahman, Company’s Managing Director Md. Masudur Rahman, Company Secretary Noman Ahmed Taffader and BPC & Company's high officials were present at the Meeting.
After recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, the Chairman welcomed the shareholders in the Annual General Meeting. The meeting started with the Chairman’s inviting comments on proceedings of the last Annual General Meeting followed by comments on the Directors' Report and audited Financial Statements for the year that ended on 30 June, 2021.
The Shareholders expressed their keen interest and deep satisfaction with the Company. The Chairman Md. Mahbub Hossain and Managing Director Md. Masudur Rahman replied to the queries and explained on various comments made by distinguished Shareholders.
The Shareholders approved audited Financial Statements for the year 2020-21 and also approved 125% cash dividend as recommended by the Board of Directors.
