Bangladesh registered one more death in 24 hours from Covid-19 till 8am Wednesday. The total number of deaths has reached to 29,127 with the latest figure.
The country recorded 28 new infections in the meantime taking the total number of people infected to 1,952,440 according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Wednesday.
The current positivity rate stands 0.55 percent and the overall positivity rate stands at 14 percent.
In addition, the death rate now stands at 1.49 percent in the country, added the release.
The deceased was a female and hailed from Dhaka. A total of 5,098 samples were tested across the country till 8am Wednesday.
Some 546 Covid-19 patients have recovered during this period. The total number of recoveries now stands at 1,892,074 and recovery rate stands at 96.61 percent.
As of Wednesday, 6,228,735 people died of Covid-19 across the world and 506,136,124 have been infected so far, according to Worldometer.
