New Narail DC exchanges views with journalists

Newly appointed Deputy Commissio­ner (DC) of Narail Mohammad Habibur Rahman meeting and exchanges views with the journalists of print and electronic media working in the district on Tuesday afternoon. 

The meeting was held at conference room of Deputy Commissioner. New Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Habibur Rahman and Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Yarul Islam addressed the meeting. Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Sumi Majumder, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Md. Fakhrul Hasan, Nezarat Deputy Collectorate (NDC) Md. Zahid Hasan, Editor of Daily Ocean Advocate Alamgir Siddiqui, General Secretary of Narail Press Club Shamimul Islam Tulu, former vice-president Sultan Mahmood, Ekushey TV Correspondent Md. Farhad Khan, Journalist Rahima Khatun Sumi, Ashok Kundu and journalists of various print and electronic media present at the time. 

Newly appointed Deputy Commissioner sought the full cooperation of the media personnel for the overall development of the district. He informed the journalists that he would work for the preservation, development and beautification of the architecture of the liberation war in different places of the district. He also declared zero tolerance against corruption.

It may be mentioned that Mohammad Habibur Rahman who joined the administration cadre in 2003, joined Narail on January 3 as Deputy Commissioner (DC). Prior to joining the post he was the Deputy Secretary of Ministry of Home Affairs. He has served as Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) and Additional District Magistrate (ADM) in Kushtia as a field level administration officer with efficiency and success. 

Besides, he was also in charge of different field level administrative departments in three districts including Tangail and Kishoreganj. He has wife and also the father of two children. His eldest son is a student in the Civil Engineering Department of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology and his youngest son is a third grader in english version in Saint Joseph's School in Dhaka.
