National Bank Limited (NBL), the country’s first private commercial bank fully owned by Bangladeshis, celebrated its 39th founding anniversary on Wednesday.
Chairman of the bank Monowara Sikder cut a cake on the occasion.
Chairperson of the bank’s executive committee Parveen Haque Sikder, MP, bank directors Ron Haque Sikder, Naimuzzaman Bhuiyan Mukta and Lieutenant General (retd) Md Shafiqur Rahman were present at the function.
NBL Directors Alhaj Khalilur Rahman, Moazzam Hossain, Mabroor Hossain and Murshid Kuli Khan joined the celebration programme virtually.
Managing Director and also CEO of the bank Md Mehmood Husain and Deputy Managing Directors were present there on the occasion.
NBL Chairman Monowara Sikder thanked all the incumbent and former officials and employees of the bank for their relentless efforts and service to the bank.
In its long journey, National Bank has played a vital role in every step of the economic prosperity of the country and contributed greatly to heavy industries, the RMG sector, power, the construction of infrastructure and almost all other sectors.
The chairman said National Bank has already ranked the best bank of the country by establishing good governance, morality, transparency and accountability.
She said the bank is moving forward with the confidence of its customers and expressed the hope that the progress will continue in the future as well.
NBL has 219 branches and 14 sub-branches in the country to provide relentless service to its valued customers.
