Mutual Trust Bank opens first private bank museum of Bangladesh

Mutual Trust Bank Limited (MTB) inaugurated the first private bank museum titled ‘MTB Museum’ through a press conference at the Samson H. Chowdhury auditorium, MTB Tower in the capital on Monday. 

Syed Manzur Elahi, Director and Founding Chairman, Mutual Trust Bank Limited attended the event as the Chief Guest along with Md. Hedayetullah, Chairman, MTB as a Special Guest. 

Other senior officials from Mutual Trust Bank were also present including Anis A. Khan, Managing Director & CEO, Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Managing Director & CEO (designate); Syed Rafiqul Haq, Deputy Managing Director & Chief Business Officer; Goutam Prosad Das, Deputy Managing Director, & Group Head of Internal Control Compliance; and Tarek Reaz Khan, Deputy Managing Director.

The bank museum will reflect the 20-year journey and achievements of Mutual Trust Bank Limited from 1999 to 2019. It will showcase the photos of various tools that were used in opening period of the bank, board of directors, chairman, vice chairman, general annual meeting, annual business conference, managing directors, branches, ATM booths, kiosks, air lounge, privilege center. 

The guests have also inaugurated a terracotta wall, situated at the entrance of the MTB Tower. The terracotta wall reflects the liberation war of 1971. 

During the press conference, the guests had unveiled the MTB Calendar of 2020.  The theme of the calendar is ‘Mujib Shoto Borsho’ and it will highlight the paintings and precious moments of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. 

The paintings were drawn by the 12 famous artists of Bangladesh. The 12 contributing artists are Hashem Khan, Rafiqun Nabi, Sheik Afzal, MD Nazmul Kabir, Jamal Ahmed, Abdus Shakoor Shah, Nazia Andaleeb Preema, Monirul Islam, Samiran Chowdhury, Jamal Ahmed, Pradip Saha, and Rokeya Sultana.
