Now Shanta Begum (26) is fighting to the death at Sheikh Barn Institute. Confirming the incident, Sadar Police Station OC (Investigation) Rajib Khan quoted a doctor as saying that Shanta Begum's condition was also critical. 55 percent of his body was burnt. Her heartbeat is declining.

He added that it was initially thought that the explosion was caused by a gas leak in the room. All the windows in the room were closed because of the cold. However, the real cause is being investigated. The concerned team of CID police has visited the spot.
