Al-Haj Akram Hossain (Humayun) and Mohd. Selim have been elected vice chairmen and Shahidul Ahsan chairman of Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of Mercantile Bank Limited. The election was held at the 345th board meeting of the bank held at the Bank’s head office recently.
Akram Hossain, a freedom fighter, eminent businessman is chairman and managing director of FARS Group. He is engaged with real estate business. Besides, he is well-recognised for his benevolent contributions to the society through different social welfare activities, education, health & social development movements.
Mohd. Selim, a renowned businessman is the chairman of Synthia Securities Limited. He is involved with cloth and fabric business. Besides, he is well recognised for his benevolent contributions to the society through different social welfare, education and health related activities.
Shahidul Ahsanis a leading industrialist and chairman of Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of Mercantile Bank Limited. He is also chairman of iPay Systems Ltd, Ahsan Group and priyo.com. He is the managing director of Private TV Channel ‘DBC’ and Director of Daily Observer. He is also the Director of National Credit ratings Ltd. & Swadesh Life Insurance Company Ltd. Besides, Shahidul Ahsan is engaged with different types of business and social activities.
