Medipac Technologies and Abbott host CME programme

Medipac Technologies Ltd, in collaboration with Abbott, on Thursday organised a ‘Continuing Medical Education’ (CME) program titled “Advancements in Laboratory Diagnostics: Clinical and Digital” at the United Convention Centre, United Terminal, Uttara, Dhaka.

The event was inaugurated with an opening address by Nizamuddin Hasan Rashid, Managing Director of Medipac Technologies Ltd, who emphasised the company’s vision to promote innovation and excellence in diagnostic healthcare in Bangladesh.

The scientific sessions featured distinguished speakers from Abbott India and Abbott APAC, who shared expert insights on cutting-edge topics shaping the future of laboratory medicine.

Sumita Nayak, Senior Product Manager, Clinical Excellence, Abbott India, presented on “Emerging Biomarkers in Oncology”, highlighting the evolving role of biomarkers in cancer diagnostics.

Dr. Tina Jubin, Assistant Medical Director, Abbott India, delivered two engaging presentations on “Clinical Utility of High-Sensitive Troponin I in Diagnosis and Beyond” and “Novel Biomarkers for Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (mTBI)”, showcasing new diagnostic approaches that enhance clinical accuracy and patient outcomes.

The final session was conducted by Sehee Park, Marketing Manager, Digital Health Solutions & Systems, Abbott APAC, who spoke on “Optimizing Lab Operations with Digital Health Solutions”, emphasizing the importance of digital transformation in improving laboratory efficiency and decision-making.

In his closing remarks, Md. Shamsuddin Zia, Chief Operating Officer of Medipac Technologies Ltd., expressed appreciation to all participants, speakers, and partners for making the program a success. He reaffirmed Medipac’s commitment to empowering healthcare professionals through education, collaboration, and access to advanced diagnostic technologies.

The CME concluded with a networking dinner, providing an opportunity for participants to exchange ideas and strengthen professional connections within the medical community.
