Land ministry has taken the initiative to set up a Civil Suite Management System (CSMS) for easy, transparent, efficient management and online monitoring of land-related civil cases.

Most of the cases in Bangladesh are related to land. The Ministry of Land under the directives of Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury took steps to set up the Civil Suite Management System (CSMS) in July last year following PPA-2006 and PPR-2008 for easy, transparent, and efficient management of these civil cases.

A deed was signed in the conference room of the land ministry on Tuesday, to set up CSMS between the land ministry and software developer. Land Secretary Md. Mustafizur Rahman PAA was present as the Chair at the signing ceremony.

If CSMS is set up, there will be no possibility of losing court information. Whether the Status of Fact (SF) submitted to the court, how the SF is presented before the court, and what is the latest status of the case, etc. information will also be possible to collect, said a press release.

The new system will also include attorneys so that one can monitor court dates and orders. It is to be noted that the law wing of the Ministry of Land presents on behalf of the government in all the civil court cases including the cases of the Supreme Court and High Court of Bangladesh. All these cases were handled with government property worth crores of taka.

Joint Secretary of the land ministry's legal wing Md. Mahmud Hasan signed the agreement on behalf of the ministry, while Chief Executive Officer of Mysoftheaven (BD) Ltd.  Md. Mofakhkharul Islam signed the agreement on behalf of the software developer company.

Additional Secretaries of the Ministry of Land Tapan Kumar Karmaker, Muhammad Salehuddin, Pradip Kumar Das, and other officials of the Ministry of Land and senior executives of the above software company were also present at the signing ceremony.
