JS session to begin Jan 5

The 21st session of the 11th Jatiya Sangsad will begin on January 5, 2023.

 President M Abdul Hamid convened the session exercising the power bestowed upon him as per the Clause (1) of Article 72 of the Constitution, said a press release Monday. 

"The 21st session will begin at 4pm at the JS room at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar on January 5, 2023," the release added.

The 20th session of 11th parliament was prorogued on November 6 after six sittings. A total of four bills were passed in the session.

Along with the legal procedure, a total of 91 important notices under section were received under section 71(kha) for discussion. A total of 44 questions were available for the Prime Minister's question-answer session where 14 questions were answered by the Prime Minister.

During the question-answer session, 439 questions were answered by the ministers under different ministries.

 The treasury bench lawmakers also participated in a discussion marking the Jail killing Day on November 3.
