The 12th session of the current 11th National Parliament (Jatiya Sangsad) will begin on April 1. The session will start at 11:00 am on that day.
President Mohammad Abdul Hamid convened the session on Monday, according to the Parliament Secretariat.
Before beginning of the session on the day, the Parliamentary Business Advisory Committee is likely to hold a meeting with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair to fix the duration and agendas of the session.
The eleventh session of the Parliament ended on February 2. According to the Constitution, there is no opportunity for a break of more than 60 days between two sessions of the Parliament; hence the session has been called.
Due to the pandemic, some of the previous parliamentary sessions were held in compliance with the hygiene rules.
