Sajeeb Wajed Joy, son of Prime Minister and Awami League president Sheikh Hasina, has become the number 1 member of the newly formed 101-member convening committee of Rangpur district unit of Awami League.
Chhayadat Hossain Bakul has been made convener of the committee while Mazed Ali Bablu, Joynal Abedin and Anwarul Islam have been made joint conveners.
Besides, Sajeed Wazed Joy, who is also the ICT Adviser to the Prime Minister, lawmakers HN Ahequr Rahman of Rangpur-3 constituency, also the treasurer of AL central committee, Tipu Munsi of Rangpur-4 constituency, and AKM Ahsanul Huq Chowdhury of Rangpur-2 constituency and former lawmaker Hosneara Lutfa Dalia, are among the 97 members of the committee.
Earlier on February 1, the previous committee of Rangpur district AL was dissolved and later the new convening committee was announced on February 11.
