Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) is going to participate at a local tourism fair here for the first time to attract Bangladeshi travelers to visit Japan.

“Are you interested in travelling to Japan? Want to know how you can best explore what the country has to offer? Then come and visit our booth and be inspired for your next trip to Japan!” JNTO’s Singapore office excitingly told BSS on Wednesday when disclosing Japan's maiden participation at any Bangladesh's tourism fair.

JNTO will display various attractive destinations of Japan and advice Bangladeshi travelers on their tour plan for the "Land of the rising sun" at their “Visit Japan” booth, at the Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair (BTTF) 2023 to be held at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) from March 2 to 4.

JNTO will be arranging a virtual reality (VR) experience for the visitors at the fair so that potential Bangladeshi travelers can get the virtual feeling of visiting different tourism spots of Japan.

Yukata, a Japanese traditional summer kimono dress will be available to try on and take photos at the JNTO booth at the carnival hall of the BICC while special gifts will be offered to those who answer a simple questionnaire.

Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB), the country's apex body of tour operators, is going to organize the travel expo in association with civil aviation and tourism ministry, Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BPC), Bangladesh Tourism Board (BTB), FBCCI and Bangladesh Tourist Police.

Apart from Japan, tourism providers of different countries including India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Vietnam, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will also be participating in the fair.

State minister for civil aviation and tourism ministry Mahbub Ali will inaugurate the fair at 10:30 am today (Wednesday) morning.

B2B sessions, seminars and roundtable discussions are also scheduled to be held as sideline events during the fair that will remain open from 10:00 AM to 08:00 PM.
