Jamuna Oil pays dividend to Sramik Kalyan Foundation Fund

Jamuna Oil Company Limited (JOCL) has deposited Tk 1 crore 24 lakh in the Bangladesh Sramik Kalyan Foundation Fund of the Ministry of Labor and Employment.

 The representatives of Jamuna Oil Company handed over the check of their company's dividend of the last one year to the Secretary of the Ministry of Labor and Employment Md. Ehsan Elahi at the Secretariat on Thursday last.

 Jamuna Oil Company Limited General Manager (Accounts and Finance) Mohammad Khosru Azad, Deputy General Manager (Human Resources) Syed Shahidul Islam, Deputy General Manager (DLO) Md Anwarul Islam, CBA General Secretary Md Yakub and CBA Working President Md Zainal Abedin were present.

 According to a press release of the Ministry of Labor and Employment, a delegation of 6 members led by DGM of Marketing Department of Jamuna Oil Company Limited Md. Khosru Azad met the Secretary.

 A check of Tk 1 crore 24 lakh 4 thousand 310, a part of their company's last year's dividend, was handed over to the Labor and Employment Secretary.

According to the Bangladesh Labor Act, domestic and foreign companies and institutions have a provision to deposit a part of their total profit at the end of the year to the Bangladesh Sramik Kalyan Foundation Fund. 

The government has formed this foundation fund under to the Bangladesh Labor Act. for ensuring wellbeing of the working people.
