Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Saturday said that the meeting venue of Jamaat-e-Islam was shifted to avoid traffic jam.
The Home boss made the remarks in response to the questions of the journalists at a programme in city’s suburb Savar.
About the war crime scandal-hit Jamaat's rally in the capital, he told that Jamaat always held its programmes at the north gate of Baitul Mukarram Mosque. The Jamaat has now been told that there will be severe traffic jams if it is held at that place. They should go to some other venue.
For these reason, they changed the venue and went to another indoor venue, he claimed.
The Home Minister alleged that local conspirators are trying to halt the upcoming national polls. They are hatching conspiracy untiedly, he further alleged. He urged the countrymen to remain vigilant against the conspirators and their ill motives.
“Many groups and counter groups become active ahead of national parliamentary election. Those power greedy people don't want to come to power through democracy,” he added. He further said, these people never participate in any elections. They only create anarchy to avoid the polls.
The government is still monitoring such kind of activity, he vowed.
The Home Minister said we have always seen that the conspirators are united in elections for another new conspiracy.
So, everyone should be very careful against these conspirators, he added.
