Bangladesh government has cleared its position on the ongoing situation in Jammu and Kashmir saying that it’s an internal issue of India, said a press release. The release sent to media by Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) on Wednesday said, “Bangladesh maintains that the abrogation of Article 370 by the Indian Government is an internal issue of India. Bangladesh has always advocated, as a matter of principle, that maintaining regional peace and stability, as well as development should be a priority for all countries.”
On 5 August, 2019, Indian parliament revoked Article 370 of the Constitution which made Jammu and Kashmir two regular states. Indian prime minister Narendra Modi termed it as fulfilment of a dream of the founder fathers of his country.
