Int’l Mother Language Day to be observed in limited scale

Corona jab certificate mandatory for visitors

The ‘Shahid Dibos’ and ‘International Mother Language Day-2022’ programmes would be observed on February 21 at a limited scale due to recent spike of COVID-19, said officials concerned.

Besides, everybody will have to keep Corona Vaccine Certificate in possession if anybody wants to go to the Shaheed Minar area and everyone must wear face mask for the same reason, they said.

A press release signed by Mahmood Alam, Public Relations Director of the University of Dhaka, on Sunday said, all the visitors have to maintain social distancing.

“Not more than five persons from any organisation will be allowed to enter the area while not more than two individuals would be allowed at a time”, said the press release.

The press release also said that the Dhaka University authorities have formed a coordination committee so that the functions centring the ‘Shahid Dibos’ and ‘International Mother Language Day-2022’ are observed peacefully and through a disciplined way.

Professor Md Rahmat Ullah, Dean of the La Faculty and also the president of Dhaka University Teachers’ Association’ (DUTA) has been made the chief coordinator while DUTA Vice-president Dr Sabita Rizwana Rahman and general secretary Dr Md Nizamul Huq Bhuiya have been made the joint-coordinators.
