The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) organized a webinar on “Import Regulations for the Exporters” on Thursday.
It was the second (out of four) episode of the Webinar series on “Domestic & International Trade.” Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, CTFP, CDCS, a Qualified Trade Finance Professional and the Founder of “The Learning Line Academy,” led the Webinar.
Rafiqul Islam emphasized that CMA professionals should possess specialized knowledge about raw materials import for the successful application of Cost Management tools.
He highlighted how local sourcing of raw materials gives exporters a comparative advantage and how EDF and UPASLC act as practical tools for export cost minimization.
ICMAB President Prof. Dr. Md. Salim Uddin FCMA thanked all the participants of the Webinar and commented that CMA professionals need to understand import regulations properly to catch up on loopholes in foreign trade.
The immediate Past President of ICMAB, Md. Abdur Rahman Khan FCMA, offered a welcome speech at the very outset of the Webinar and thanked the resource person for continuing this critical Webinar.
