The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) has signed two separate memorandum of understandings (MoUs) with the department of Business Administration in Accounting & Information Systems (AIS) and the department of Business Administration – General (BBA General) of Faculty of Business Studies (FBS) of Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP).
The signing ceremony took place at the university premises, Mirpur Cantonment on Thursday.
ICAB President Mahmudul Hasan Khusru FCA, Chairman of AIS Lieutenant Colonel Md. Alauddin Al-Mamun (Retd.), and Chairman of BBA General Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Yousuf have signed the MoUs from their respective sides.
BUP Vice Chancellor Major General Md Moshfequr Rahman, SGP, SUP, ndc, psc, Registrar Brigadier General Abdullah Al Mamun, SPP, ndc, psc, Dean of FBS Brigadier General Md Moazzem Hossain, BGBM (BAR), PhD, ICAB Vice President Md. Abdul Kader Joaddar FCA, CEO Shubhashish Bose among others spoke on the occasion.
Under these MoUs, students graduated from BUP’s AIS and BBA General departments will get exemption from some papers of chartered accountancy studies.
Under these arrangements, ICAB and BUP will also work together to cooperate with each other with a view to fostering chartered accountancy profession, accounting and finance education, training, workshop, knowledge sharing on accounting, financial matters, trade & commerce, business, economy as a whole, whereby students, teachers, professionals, other stakeholders can be benefited.
