The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) has elected N. K. A. Mobin FCA as President; and Suraiya Zannath FCA, Md. Rokonuzzaman FCA, Muhammad Mehedi Hasan FCA and Md. Moniruzzaman FCA as Vice Presidents of the Institute.
They took over the charges of respective offices on 24 June 2025 and will work for the Institute for a period of one year. The outgoing ICAB President Maria Howlader FCA completed her office successfully.
NKA Mobin FCA is currently the Executive President of Emerging Credit Rating Limited (ECRL), a licensed Credit Rating Company in Bangladesh from BSEC established around 16 years back. He is also one of the sponsor Directors of the ECRL.
Mobin has been in the Council of ICAB since 2019 and served the Institute as Vice President in 2019 and 2022. He also led the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industries (DCCI) as Senior Vice-President, consecutively for 2 years.
He obtained his Bachelor and Masters degree in Finance from University of Dhaka during 1977-1982.
After obtaining Articleship from Rahman Rahman Huq/KPMG for 3 years and successfully qualifying of the CA, he worked in 4 multinational and international companies in mid and top management positions for long 25 years from 1986 to 2009.
He worked in Swedish/Dhaka Match, KAFCO, Ciba-Geigy/Novartis Bangladesh Limited and lastly in GrameenPhone Ltd., where he worked as Finance Director and Company Secretary.
