The leading global provider of ICT infrastructure Huawei has organized a virtual tour of its exhibition center, Darwin Hall, located in Shenzhen of China, on September 15, 2021.
The tour was arranged for 25 university professors teaching at leading Bangladeshi universities. Prof. Dr. Md. Sazzad Hossain, honorable member, University Grants Commission (UGC), graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Karl Yuying, Director of Public Affairs and Communications Department at Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Limited, was also present at the occasion.
This tour was organized to showcase the prospects of advanced technology for enabling a better future across social and economic spectrums. During the tour, the visitors got clear notions about different pertinent and future-friendly technologies such as green power for a smart world, AI-powered healthcare facilities, and technology to fight against the pandemic. Prof. Dr. Md. Sazzad Hossain, UGC member, said, “The supremacy of ICT is that it can empower the society in many ways. As the leading global provider of ICT solution and equipment; Huawei has that opportunity to make a fully connected, intelligent world. ”

Dr. AKM Ashikur Rahman, Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) shared, “The world has embraced latest technologies to get most benefits of it. The applications we have seen today are really amazing. In Bangladesh, 5G is knocking at the door.”
