HSC, equivalent exam results on Feb 8

The results of the HSC and equivalent examination will be published on February 8. The Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has directed to announce the result of the H.S.C and equivalent examination on the date mentioned.

Convener of Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and Chairman of Dhaka Education Board Tapan Kumar Sarkar confirmed this information on Sunday (January 29) morning. 

He said that the Minister of Education will present a summary of the results to the Prime Minister along with the chairmen of all education boards and officials of the Ministry of Education by 10 am. Later, with the press conference, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the program of HSC exam results officially. 

The HSC and equivalent examinations started simultaneously in all over the country on November 6 last year. Due to the corona virus epidemic and floods, the HSC and equivalent exams have been rescheduled from November 6.

Nine General Education Boards, Madrasa Boards and Technical Boards out of total 12 lakh 3 thousand 407 students, 6 lakh 22 thousand 796 were boys and 5 lakh 80 thousand 611 were girls who participated in the examinations.

A total of 94 thousand 763 candidates participated in the Alim exams under Madrasa Education Board. Among them were 51 thousand 695 boys and 43 thousand 68 girls. 

One lakh 22 thousand 931 students had appeared for HSC (BM/BMT), HSC (Vocational), Diploma-in-Commerce examination under Board of Technical Education.

Among them, 88 thousand 918 boys students and 34 thousand 13 girls students. Candidates took part in the examination in 673 centers out of a total of one thousand 856 educational institutions.

This time also the higher secondary examination is conducted with reduced subjects, marks and time as before like the previous academic year. The syllabus was also short. The education boards try to release the results within two months of the examination.
