Housewife dies after falling from autorickshaw

A housewife named Jahanara Begum (45) died after falling from an autorickshaw in Dhansindri union of Kabirhat upazila of Noakhali. As there was no complaint from the victim's family, the body was handed over to the family without an autopsy.

The accident took place in Amin Bazar area of Nabgram on Sunday morning. The deceased was identified as Jahanara Begum, wife of Abul Kashem of Ward No. 9, Dhansinri.

According to local sources, Jahanara was coming to her house in Amin Bazar area in the morning in a battery-powered auto-rickshaw from her house in Navgram.

On the way, their auto-rickshaw reached near Amin Bazar, faced a mud-carrying power tiller coming from the opposite direction, lost control and overturned on the side of the road.

 Jahanara Begum fell from the auto-rickshaw and fell on the road, where she died on the spot. 

As the auto-rickshaw driver was a teenager, the locals said that the accident took place due to fear of losing control after seeing the car coming from the front.

Kabirhat Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rafiqul Islam confirmed the matter and said that the police had visited the spot after receiving the information. The body was handed over to his family without any autopsy as there was no complaint from the victim's family.
