High-tone of strong financial foothold and brighter image

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina-led Awami League government is going to complete the 2019 as well as the first year of its consecutive third term, with a high-tone of strong financial foothold and a brighter image among people due to cleansing drive inside the party as well as the administration.

Under the dynamic, brave and visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, daughter of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Bangladesh is now speeding to be a developed country and the country would go  further, common people strongly believe.

Awami League formed the fourth government, three in a row, on 7 January this year following a landslide victory in the 11th general election held on 30 December 2018, with which Awami League has set the record of being the country’s longest-serving political party.

The next year, 2020, is also a very important year for the Sheikh Hasina government as the nation will celebrate the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The government has put highest importance to celebrate the birth centenary from 17 March 2020 to 26 March 2021 to spread the authentic history of the country’s War of Liberation in 1971 and the undisputable leadership of Bangabandhu in establishing an independent Bangladesh.

“The birth centenary of Father of the Nation and the golden jubilee of the independence will be celebrated in 2020 and 2021 respectively. We want to make our national flag of independence brighter in the world,” Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said while addressing a ceremony at the parade ground of the Bangladesh Air Force Academy in Jashore on Thursday.

Country’s economy is likely to sustain robust growth in the coming days as it sustained strong growth with macroeconomic stability in FY 2019 led by industry, rising exports, domestic consumption and record remittances, said the World Bank (WB).

People now strongly believe that when the country is not in the hands of Sheikh Hasina, it will become champion in corruption again, crime and lawlessness will rise deviating from the right track of development and financial and social security.

Sheikh Hasina, also Awami League President, has reaffirmed her determination to build a hunger-and-poverty-free Sonar Bangla as dreamt by Bangabandhu.

She has expressed her firm determination to work till her last breath for realising the dream of Bangabandhu. She does not have anything to gain personally as her only aim is to materialise the ideals of Bangabandhu based on which he liberated the country, people understand.

Now, country’s people have a dream to become a middle-income country by 2021 and a developed nation by 2041.  Apart from her own party leaders and workers, people from all walks of life also congratulated Sheikh Hasina for being reelecting the president of ruling Awami League for the 9th time as they also believe that only Bangabandhu’s daughter can take the country forward.

Since assumption of the power for the third consecutive term, as per the electoral pledges the government has launched cleansing drives against corruption, irregularities, militancy and drugs across the country.

Visibly it seems the ongoing drive against corruption and criminal activities has stopped. Practically it is being conducted not against any particular party or group but against all the corrupt people irrespective of the ruling party people.

The government started punishing corrupt people from inside the ruling party. The ruling party is carrying out a cleansing drive inside it, which is unprecedented in Bangladesh. People are happy with the firm stand of the government against corruption and criminal activities.

Reaffirming her government's tough stance against corruption, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has already directed the Ministry of Public Administration to issue strong warning against graft in every level the administration.
