Abdul Motin, living at the outskirt of the capital city Kamrangirchar told Bangladesh Post that in such heat, it becomes impossible to stay in their crowded messes.

He said, “The roofs are made of tin, and that makes the insides even more hot during the day. Especially in the current days of Ramadan, it becomes suffocating to work under such weather.”

Parvin Begum, a resident of the slum near Hazaribagh in the capital said, “All sufferings have accumulated together in these days. Ramadan is supposed to be a blessing but life is only getting difficult. The lockdown contributed to the hardship and the heat is making life more miserable. The humidity makes suffocating the working place especially while fasting”.

Heat wave is blowing in some areas of Chittagong and Sylhet. Although there is a heat flow, the feeling of humidity is a bit less. There is less water vapor in the air, hence there is less heat in some of these areas.
