The High Court (HC) on Tuesday ordered the mobile court authorities to supply certified copies of their orders to the persons whom they award punishment within five working days, reports BSS.

A High Court division bench comprising Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Md Mostafizur Rahman passed the order after holding hearing on a plea filed by a mobile court convict named Md Mohiuddin. Deputy attorney general Tushar Kanti Roy said a RAB mobile court sentenced Mohiuddin to six-month imprisonment on September 18.

“Mohiuddin filed a petition for certified copy of that order on September 25 to file an appeal against that conviction. But he is yet to receive the certified copy of the mobile court sentence after more than one month. As a result, he filed the plea with the High Court,” the deputy attorney general said. Advocate Monwarul Islam Uzzal moved Mohiuddin’a plea before the court.
