Harmony between bar, bench ensures justice: Anisul

Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq on Thursday said harmony between the bar and the bench ensures much expected justice and the present government wants to further strengthen this relationship.

"Father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman presented a constitution to a newly independent country within the shortest possible time. He sowed the first plant of rule of law through this in the country. His worthy daughter Sheikh Hasina is working relentlessly to develop the country's judiciary like him," he said.

The law minister said this while addressing a function to inaugurate Natore District Bar Association Building constructed with the funding of Prime Minister.

Advocate Anisul Huq further said Bangladesh became a middle income country within 2021 because of the farsighted leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, adding, "We would become a developed country by 2041. Bangladesh is now a role model of development in the whole world."

State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak, who addressed the function as special guest, said smart judiciary would by established in the country under the leadership of founder of modern Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

"Projects of Taka 2,200 crore have been undertaken in this regard. She brought out the nation from the culture of impunity and established rule of law," he added.

Presided over by Natore Bar Association President Adv Ruhul AMin Talukder Togor, the function was also addressed by Natore-2 lawmaker Md Shafikul Islam Shimul, Natore-1 lawmaker Md Shahidul Islam Bokul, Law and Justice Division Secretary Md Golam Sarwer and Natore District and Sessions Judge Sharif Uddin, among others.
