GPH Ispat have given 100 rickshaws as gifts to Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) in a bid to assist the cleaning service program to speed up the waste management during the Eid-ul-Azha.
On Sunday, the rickshaws were handed over to Chattogram City Mayor and freedom fighter Md. Rezaul Karim Chowdhury by Chattogram industrial company GPH Ispat authority as a gift at the CCC office near Tigerpass. In the first phase of this program, 35 rickshaws have been provided, the rest will be provided in the next phase.
Meanwhile, CCC Mayor said that all public and private institutions must work together to move Chattogram development.
This time we will divide the city into 6 zones and work with 370 vehicles to clean the Qurbani waste by 5 pm.
GPH Ispat's Logistics and Security Adviser Colonel Mohammad Shawkat Osman PSC (Retd.) said that this gift of GPH Ispat is in line with Mayor Rezaul Karim's efforts to build Tilottama Chattogram.
GPH Ispat's media advisor Ovik Osman said, GPH is always there for social work. These rickshaws of GPH Ispat have come forward to keep Qurbani Eid in city clean.
CCC Panel Mayor Gias Uddin, Neshar Uddin Manju, Haji NurulHaque, Gazi Md ShafiulAzam, Chasic Secretary Khaled Mahmud, Mayor's Private Secretary and Chief Cleaning Officer Abul Hashem, Additional Chief Engineer Munirul Huda, CCC Deputy Chief Cleaning Officer Morshedul Islam, Engineer Touhidul Hasan were present.
