‘Govt working to make Bangladesh a developed country ’

Environment, Forests and Climate Change Minister Mohammad Shahab Uddin said the government is working towards making Bangladesh a developed and prosperous country. To this end, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been increasing the civic amenities of all areas equally. As part of this, Tk 22 crore has been allocated for water supply lines in Baralekha municipality alone. The minister said Baralekha municipality will be upgraded to first class municipality in phases.

He was speaking as the chief guest at the ground breaking ceremony of water supply and sanitation system through pipeline in Baralekha Municipality by the Department of Public Health Engineering, Baralekha Upazila, Moulvibazar district on Saturday.

The Environment Minister further said that the present government is working day and night to bring smiles on the faces of the sad people of the country. Helping people in various ways, including providing cows, goats and cash under various social security programs for the needy. We will achieve the dream of becoming a developed country by improving the living standards of all classes of people with the active participation of the people.

The Minister then inaugurated the newly constructed 4 (four) storey building of Nari Shiksha Academy Secondary School.
