Land minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury on Monday said that the government has taken necessary steps to make the land related laws time-befitting to bring pace in service. He also said “We will amend some of the outdated British period land acts with new acts so that people can get service smoothly”. The land minister made the remarks while addressing at a four weeks long programme titled “11th basic land management course” as a chief guest at Land Administration Training Center in the capital.
Saifuzzaman Chowdhury also said land ministry is basically a service oriented ministry so we all should serve the people with transparency and honesty. He also hoped that the officials participating in the said training course will discharge the duties with reputations and responsibility. “The officials will create an example of honesty and transparency in serving the nation as life is short lived but work is permanent” said Saifuzzaman Chowdhury.
Addressing the occasion as special guest land secretary Md. Masudur Rahman Pathwary said providing speedy and public friendly service is the main aim of land ministry and AC land has to play a vital role to implement it in field level. Transparency is the important factor in land management, he added. The programme was also attended by trainers and AC land of 33th and 34th BCS cadre while Md Abdul Hye, director of Land Administration Training Center chaired the function.
