The government is making an all-out effort to improve the quality of education including curriculum modification, change in assessment system, training of teachers and infrastructural development.

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni came up with the assertion while talking to reporters after inaugurating the ‘Trinamool Delegates Conference’, organised by the district Awami League at Chandpur Stadium on Saturday.

She said, “Sheikh Hasina’s government has been doing everything to improve the quality of education. It has worked relentlessly from 2009 to 2018 to bring all children under education.”

“As we have been able to bring everyone under education, we are now focusing on improving the quality. That is why the textbook curriculum is being revised, assessment system is being changed and infrastructure is being developed including training of teachers. The minister said that children would learn not only from books but also from sports, joy and various community activities called experiential learning.

Awami League Joint Secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif, Organising Secretary Abu Saeed Al Mahmud Swapan, Information and Research secretary Selim Mahmud, Relief and Social Welfare Secretary Sujit Roy Nandi, Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya and State Minister for Planning Shamsul Alam and others were present at the programme.
